Dorpers (sheep)
We breed Dorper Sheep, an African breed of sheep that do not require shearing.
They are a great breed for a number of reasons, including their very hardy constitution,
high yield with multiple births the norm, and short time to harvest because all their energy
goes into producing meat rather than fleece.
In our case, Dorpers were also an excellent breed selection because they prefer eating roughage rather than green pastures... and because our first farm was in a bit of a rain shadow, high rainfall is the exception rather than the norm!

Dorpers make great lawnmowers on small holdings and because Dorpers don't have to be sheared, you won't have any ongoing maintenance with these sheep and you can expect them to live happily on your property for a number of years. For example, we have ewes that are still producing twins at 10 years of age!
All stock is vaccinated, drenched and ready to go. Free delivery within the Southern Highlands area (NSW) is available on lots of 6 or more - for smaller quantities or for areas further afield please contact me to discuss delivery options (I may be able to help you for a small additional fee or put you in touch with a recommended carrier).
